Yuan Ze University Alumni Association Visits the 28th Graduation Exhibition “Strawberry PIE” by the Department of Information Communication in April 2025: Showcasing the Creative Energy of Generation Z

The 28th Graduation Exhibition of the Department of Information Communication at Yuan Ze University, titled “Strawberry PIE”, was held from April 26 to April 28, 2025, at Warehouse No. 3 of the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei.

During the exhibition, the Yuan Ze University Alumni Association, led by Chairman Mr. Wei Kun-Nan and several board members, organized a group visit to witness the graduates' creative achievements and interdisciplinary capabilities.

Centered on the theme “Strawberry PIE,” students reinterpreted the stereotype of the “Strawberry Generation” by presenting 21 diverse projects that reflect Generation Z’s perspectives and responses to society, technology, and self-exploration. The exhibition featured works across areas such as interactive technology, game design, visual storytelling, brand strategy, and the reinterpretation of local culture—highlighting students’ ability to integrate design, technology, and content curation.

During the visit, the alumni representatives viewed each project and engaged in in-depth discussions with the students about their creative concepts and production processes. The students demonstrated a high level of initiative and confidence, showcasing not only richly layered content design but also a strong awareness of social issues and the ability to express themselves in diverse ways. The overall quality of the exhibition received unanimous praise from the visiting guests.

At the event, Chairman Mr. Wei Kun-Nan shared an alternative interpretation of the term “Strawberry PIE”:

P stands for Passion, I for Ingenuity, and E for Execution—an interpretation that aptly reflects the complete creative journey of the students from concept development to implementation.

Professor Deng Chin-Hung, Chair of the Department of Information Communication, remarked, “This graduation exhibition is not only a culmination of the students’ academic journey but also an important platform for dialogue with society. We hope that through this exhibition, the public can see the diverse nature of information communication education and its concern for social issues.”

The Yuan Ze University Alumni Association also expressed its commitment to continue supporting the efforts of various departments in creative practice, interdisciplinary integration, and social engagement—fostering more interaction and collaboration between alumni and current students, and jointly injecting more innovative energy into Yuan Ze University.
